Personal statement

I am a multi-skilled and ambidextrous artist, fashion designer and writer. I come from a fashion and design background, with over 20 years of experience creating ranges and managing clients, marketing, production, quality and design teams for brands and high street customers.

My art is based on interaction with the environment, observation of human activity and spontaneity, and is produced using a variety of different media.

Every living thing is unique and moves through life at its own pace. I strive to capture these relationships and feeling of movement in my artwork.

I strive to capture the essence of my subjects, with economy of line. The image is revealed by the way a viewer’s brain perceives what is there and not there and fills in the gaps. Part of my art practice includes live art.
